The top being joined in my plate press.  When the tops are thick enough, I like to plane some of the thickness by hand; gives me a better 'feel' for the particular piece.  Here's a closeup of the tops' grain.
     
The sides in the form. The sides with the raw braces freshly glued in. Hide glue, of course! The back's braces(Douglas Fir) freshly clamped up in the 'go-bar deck'. Again, hide glue was used.
